Job Location: Rahway, NJ

Project Description: Senior level consultant with 5-10 years of experience required in various aspects of information technologies and automation of the research and development process of accessing, analyzing and reporting scientific data.

  • Must have experience in graphical scientific workflow authoring applications
  • Hands-on experience with development with Accelrys Pipeline Pilot preferred
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience highly desirable

The ideal candidate will have experience in building and deploying high quality scientific solutions based on standard technologies and widely accepted industry practices:

  • Integration of scientific data management tools and technologies
  • Web services for sharing information across internal research organizations
  • Best practices and requirements for ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Design and development of real-time reporting dashboards for research programs
  • Support for incompatible scientific and administrative point solutions, software and databases


  • Develop interfaces including Accelrys Web Port, other Accelrys solutions such as Symyx Notebook by Accelrys, Isentris, Chemical Registration and third-party applications such as Microsoft SharePoint or customer-developed applications.
  • Configure tool and platform for supporting research scientists who create scientific protocols that can be executed through a variety of interfaces
  • Author tool-based scientific workflows to create, test and publish scientific services
  • Create customized reports for summarizing data analysis and mining protocols
  • Automate other manual tasks and common scientific protocols
  • Configure and share workflows within the research community
  • Support changing requirements for research information and workflows

Bachelor degree in science or engineering, preferably with computer science courses. MS degree preferred, or relevant industry experience will be considered.

Job Location: Springfield, NJ

Skill Sets: Oracle PL/SQL + Cognos 10.x development skills. Cognos Report Writer to support Drug Safety (DSS) staff in producing queries and/or recursive reports from Oracle data source including the following:

  • Update existing Cognos Reports and Crystal Reports
  • Run existing Cognos Reports in upgraded Argus Safety environment
  • Comply with existing Drug Safety & Pharmacovigilance (DSP) and DSS procedures
  • Produce queries and reports for DSP as requested


  • Cognos Reportnet 8.4.x
  • Oracle (upgrading to Oracle in a few months)
  • Must have strong experience in SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, triggers, etc.
  • 4.CrystalReports 11.x
  • Argus Safety experience is a big plus

Functional and rule-based programming. Type-setting and graphical layout in Mathematica. Basic knowledge of UNIX command line tools. Contractor shall enhance and support current Mathematica implementation of epidemiologic models including the following:

  • Automated generation of high quality tables, graphs, and legends from simulation results.
